Secure wire onto chassis

Does anyone have suggestions for taping or securing a wire to the chassis? I've mounted my timer forward and placed a switch next to the thumb rest, but I'm wondering if there's a better method than using tape for the wire?

I’m more interested in knowing how you’re using that timer with a pressure switch. Trying to iron out some type of timer setup as I tend to run way too fast.

It's not a pressure switch, just a cheap one from Amazon. I'll take some pictures tomorrow. I soldered the switch directly to the timer's PCB. I initially tried mounting it on the thumb rest, like many do, but the viewing angle didn't feel natural to me. I prefer it in the front, but I need a way to trigger it easily, especially when I'm holding a tripod or something else in my other hand.
