I've found a couple of these threads from a few years back but a large portion of the host accounts for the pictures have expired so there aren't many pictures showing up.

I was wondering if anyone would mind posting pictures in an updated thread. This would actually help a lot of us newbs out as we can sorta get a somewhat accurate idea of sight picture and field of view with a variety of scopes. It's one thing to tell someone how great of a picture you get with a scope, but it's something else entirely to actually see it.

Thanks to anyone who doesn't mind posting pictures!
(Or if anyone could just direct me to a more recent thread that I've overlooked.)

This is all I have:

Hensoldt 4-16x56 NH-1 (I only have my Iphone4 camera, sorry)

Believe me the iphone camera doesn't do it justice at all. Using the reticle you should be able to range that building. Figure the railing stands about 4ft tall?

Re: See through scope picture thread.......

These were taken through the scope, with a cheap point and shoot camera. I had an old disk from a disk plow hanging up, I believe it was 18", but I'm not sure, it could have been 17". One might be a little small sized disk, it's been a while. These are just to kind of give some guys an idea of what it looked like through the reticle. The image quality through the scope is much better, it's just hard to get a decent photo of it.

Re: See through scope picture thread.......

Outstanding guys! Thanks!

If I could make a simple request for anyone that may possibly have either of these, I am particularly looking for views @600, @800, @1000 with the NF NXS 8-32X56 w/ Velocity 1000 reticle and a USO ST-22.

These pictures are definitely giving me something to think about and giving me an idea of what all the options are that I have in front of me.

Thanks again!

Re: See through scope picture thread.......

Sorry, the first two are at 100 yards. The third was 1 mile with a USO Field Spotting Scope and the last was probably the best down the scope shot I've ever done and I think it was 500-700 yards. I'm not exactly sure because the picture was taken awhile ago.

Thank you, I appreciate it. They don't reflect the image quality of the Viper PST very well, but it helps people see the reticle and some difference distances and how the reticle changes in FFP. They're very difficult to get right. It's a lot of things to keep track of with eye relief, focus, try to keep the reticle leveled, try to keep it on target or close, etc. Glad you enjoyed them.

Re: See through scope picture thread.......

Thanks for the pics TomCat. Already had purchased the PST FFP Mil/Mil. But, this would have made the decision easier. Should be a big help to others, though.

And a big thumbs up to BigtimeAub for starting the thread.
