Has anyone used a Seeking muzzlebrake? From the pics they look pretty cool. Wondering how they compare to others like muscle or defense edge brakes. Looking for something on a 300rum.

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

Not many have used them, Just us. we have been testing them for a couple years. I am just starting to make them now. If you get one i will guarantee you will be happy with your choice or you can send it back, i will even pay shipping both ways

We have them on a few RUM's and they are nice to shoot.

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

Glen I just did a double check on the website and it didn't help, what's the OD of those badboys? Also what profile barrel is that in the pic? Wondering if it can be made flush fit for the rem700 varmint contour, similar to the BO thruster?

I'm thinking it might be the ideal replacement for the levang....

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

Hi we have just fitted a couple and they are an awsome break and realy look the part aswell.

Great work asusual Glen and happy Christmas to you and your family. cant wait until the rest arrive in the larger size.

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

Jester if you want one fitted we have a few here in bendigo depending on the thread you already have on your barrel we have the other sizes on order and hope that Glen can get them out in the new year.

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

Im not sure exactly how much gas reaches the last port, but it does. I designed this brake a few years ago using very high end CFD fluid analysis program that i had access to. The 4th port didnt do much, but what it did do was soften the sharp stop most brakes have.

How well do they work --- I haven't had anyone shoot it and not be impressed at how well they work. Like i said, if you don't like it i will take it back. I haven't seen a muzzle brake test yet that was scientific enough or un bias enough to say who's brake is better. I am going to get some recoil reduction testing done when it warms up outside and see if i can get accurate numbers.

No ports on the top. Just the ports you see in the picture. Ports on the top always felt like i was getting hit in the face by a pillow.

Just found the brake for my 7mm SAUM match rifle.

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

Heatseekins,

Very nice looking brake. I like the way that the holes go from port to port to better even out the gas distribution between the ports.
On most brakes the first port does most of the work and can quickly get cut out . Your design looks like it can carry over some of the gas to the other ports to spread the load. I also like the angle of the ports that should reduce muzzle rise quite a bit.
Have you done testing on one without the holes in the front? I realize that they are probably required due to the manufacturing process.
Do you think that the front holes reduce the effectiveness of the design by any significant amount?

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

I'm thinking of getting a remington sendero in300rum and I think this will be the brake that goes on. I was orginally planning on a Defensive Edge brake but I'm liking this one better.

Glen which size would be best for the remington sendero/varmint contour?

Most of the guys shooting the RUM's are using the larger brake, but you can use either. You want the one threaded for 5/8-24 threads. You have been a great customer for a long time, so if you want one email or call sales and i will send you one to play with on us..

Glen do you know when they will be available? All the ones on the site say (gunsmith fit)

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

They will all be available shortly. I am making the first production batch right now and we will make quite a few of them. I wont have a batch ready for melonite until after shot show. I have to send quite a few parts into them. We will have stainless ones in stock.

The one for AR's with the nut i have not updated the description on the website yet. The smaller comp with 1/2-28 threads will come with a nut so you can contour it to fit like normal or use the nut.

Re: Seekings Muzzlebrake

+ 1!! I'm in the market for 338 brake myself.
