Just tried really quick and couldn't get it. It was close but I couldn't slide it all the way on without really trying to force it hard and it still needed to go another .5". The Area 419 base has worked well for me so far, so I went that route.
They will go with enough convincing. The mags are really tough so a couple of raps on the back of the mag with a hammer are no biggie. Putting on and taking off a couple of times also loosens it up a good bit.
The good news is they feed well and fit 12 rounds.
