Segway Boss Drives Segway Off Cliff - Job Opening

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/...way-off-cliff/1

The British owner of Segway was killed after apparently driving one of the two-wheeled personal transporters off a cliff in northern England, West Yorkshire police told the Associated Press

Jimi Heselden, 62, a British businessman who last year bought the maker of two-wheeled Segway personal transporters, died in an accident on one of the vehicles.

The body of James Heselden and his Segway were found in the River Wharfe. Police said witnesses said they saw a man fall Sunday over a 30-foot drop into the river in a popular hiking area near the village of Boston Spa, 140 miles north of London.

Police have not revealed further details about the incident.

A lot of guys owe their lives to this man. He was the founder and chairman of the HESCO Bastion company. Anyone that has been in Iraq or Afghanistan knows what those are. He was also a major supporter of "Help for Heroes" in the UK, providing support to wounded soldiers.

May you rest in peace. I know I sleep more peacefully because of your walls.

You sure this is the same guy? This isn't the guy that invented the Segway but a British investor that bought the company a couple years ago.

The man that died was the current owner of Segway. He purchased the company last year. Google James Heselden.

I know the man that died was the current owner, just didn't know if the man you were talking about was this same guy or if you meant the inventor of the Segway.

No, I wasn't referring to Dean Kamen, Segway inventor. I'm not sure if Heselden actually invented the HESCO, but he was the founder of the company.

Jimi is perhaps best known for his charity work with Help for Heroes and the Leeds Community Foundation. A £10m gift to the Foundation earlier this month saw his lifetime charitable donations top £23m.
