I was one of fortunate ones on the list for a USO SN3 3.2-17 20th anniversary. Hopefully, should be receiving it within 1 week. Please help with thoughts on selecting mount. I prefer a QD to be able to switch iron sights without tools and return to zero. I assume that unimount is the way go and was choosing between Larue LT-111 (or LT-112 20 moa built in cant) or ADM AD-RECON-SW.

I did talk to ADM today that they said that 3.25" spacing is between rings. I believe it is enough space fot the SN3, but would like confirmation.

Any other mounts recommended for me to look at?

I would to place my mount order within the couple of days so it arrives around the same time as scope.

Re: Selecting QD unimount for USO SN3

Anniversary is a T-Pal right? My 5-25 T-Pal's erector housing is 2.76ish" so you should be fine between the rings. Other clearances to watch are under the erector housing, I had to file a NF Unimount to clear a 3.2-17 SN3's erector housing.

Personally, unless its a rifle that will actually see two-way ranges I see no need for BUIS, and thin getting the scope low enough for a good cheekweld trumps the need to clear such any day.

Re: Selecting QD unimount for USO SN3

Yes, it is a TPAL model. Thank you for providing the turret dimension which means that the ADM mount should work.

This scope will first go an AR15 5.56/.223. I like to practice both scope and BUIS when heading out to the range. Right now, I have a Trijicon TA31F on a Larue LT-104 QD and it is great to remove shoot with and without scope.

Once I get a dedicated long range rifle, I will move the USO SN3 over and either keep the QD or go with a different mount.

Re: Selecting QD unimount for USO SN3

I am finalizing my decision on the mount. I think I am swaying towards the Larue LT-111 due to the horizontal rings allowing better visual of the Erek elevation turret markings. When I look closely at ADM AD-RECON-SW, it looks like the vertical rings and will likely block the evelation turret markings. Does anyone have a photo of a USO SN3 TPAL with the ADM mount so I can confirm my thoughts?

Nothing against Larue as I have other mounts from them. I just was hoping to try another flavor for this setup. The fact the ADM is $60 cheaper also helps a little.

Re: Selecting QD unimount for USO SN3

I am using a LT-111 for my SN3 TPAL and it works well. The top of the ring is nice and low for reading the EREK. FWIW though it doesn't have any cantilever, so if you want the back of the scope level with the charging handle you will need to go a different route, unless you have a monolithic upper of some sort.

Re: Selecting QD unimount for USO SN3

Thanks. It will initally go on a Noveske 16" Low Profile Recce which has a SWS pic rail. It is not monolithic, but does appear to be flat at the joint.

I did check with Larue if they had a similar design to their LT-104 with ring spacing and horizontal design of the LT-111; however, they advised the LT-111 is only one they currently have that fits the USO TPAL
