Rifle Scopes Sending a scope back to Leupold

I have an old VXIII I would like to send back for some TLC. It is just a 3.5-10x40 but would make a great AR scope. I would like them to knock off the paint, re coat it, swap out the turrets, and maybe change the reticle from duplex to TMR.

Anyone have any experiences or advice who have done this before? Thanks.

I sent in a scope for M1 turrets and illuminated TMR. I called the custom shop and they stated to include a note describing what I wanted done to the scope. I would suggest giving their custom shop a call before you ship it to get relevant details etc. My scope came back perfect and their customer service is excellent. Good luck,

I've sent back two scopes for various service, including a reticle change. Leupold was always courteous and the work is first rate. Call them
to verify that they can make all the changes you want. They'll give you an estimate.

I dont think they will change the finish but they will change the reticle to whatever you want,and the turrets also,,

If I remember right, it was about 400. Keep in mind this was for M1 conversion on all three turrets (elevation, wind, and parlax) and illuminated TMR as mine did not have illumination originally. Hope this helps.

It does help, thanks. Don't think I will looking for for the illum but the turrets and reticle will prob be in order. We will see what they say. Appreciate the input.

You may ask about the new MOA reticle. It'll match your turrets. Not sure if it's available on the 3.5x10 tho

They have a custom shop/warranty claim form you can print from their wesite. I sent a scope in because the power ring was really stiff and got them to add m1 turrets. I think the scope made it back to me in less then two weeks. No complaints.
