This post starts a couple of days ago when I got in touch with falcon optics UK, now I know many of you have looked through their stuff and some have slatted it others rated it but I have used mine for all types of shooting mainly hunting and it's performed flawless. So after 4 years hard field use I decided to send it in to falcon optics to get it checked over and a service.
My 1st email reply below:
"Yes, no problem we will take a look at it. Send it back to us at the address highlighted below and include a note with as much information on your turret cap / dialling concerns as possible. We will investigate.
Providing you are mainland UK then we will cover the return cost back to you. Service cost is also free.
Make sure the scope is well packaged and insured against loss and or damage.
We should be able to work out something with regard to the 4-14x44 model."
Now gents I have no proof of purchase or warrenty notice either just the scope and a box lol,
So I posted it I special delivery yesterday and got an email whilst at work today and here's the message
"Hi Stuart
Got your scope this morning.
The scope seems in nice condition to be honest. Nothing to worry about.
Have installed a new set of turret caps. The old set might have been sitting a little crooked or the etching was slightly out, this could be one possible reason for being 0.1MRAD out when you dial sometimes. So we have swapped them out for peace of mind.
It wasn't possible to change to turret caps to the new style on the M14IR and M25(50)IR models. The internal diameter is slightly different, making fixing difficult. It might also hinder the travel range of the turret.
So as above, the scope was fine mechanically and optical. Nothing to worry about. No charge for the work.
As for model code M14B, yes we can offer you one of those. The price will be GBP239.99 including VAT and delivery by UPS. The plan would be to get this out to you as one consignment with your M25(50)ML return"
Now for such a bottom price market scope that's FFP their service is amazing, a huge difference over the service I got from Bushnell when I returned my faulty range finder.
I thought it only fair that you all got to see just how good this company is regardless of their scope price and anyone who uses these optics regular know for the price they are superb.
