I'm in the process of putting together a MK13 Mod 5, and I'm curious what interchangeability there is with parts if wanting to stay clone correct?
From what I understand, there are no substitutes for the AICS 2.0 chassis of course and Lilja barrel. Likewise, was the Rem 700 the only action used for the Mod 5?
Regarding the trigger, not sure if there is any value to stay clone correct w/ the Remington, as opposed to going with an aftermarket of my choosing.
The scope is the other question mark for me. I have a Premier 3-15x50 that would work great on this rifle. I know it was used on the M110, but I can't find any examples of this scope being used on the MK13? Regardless, I don't think that would be enough reason to go out and spend another $2k for the correct optics. Thanks for any advice.
