Has anyone set back/rechambered a 20" Tikka CTR? Is it a bad idea to cut down 2" into a narrower part of the barrel? Looking at rechambering from 260 to 6.5x55AI.

Unless you are doing it yourself, you are probably looking at $200-300. Your CTR mags will only let you go to 2.95" COAL, 6.5x55 is 3.150" max SAAMI. 6.5x55 is best done on a long action with la mags so you can take advantage of seating the longer bullets out of the case.
