While working on my SPR build, I found that the ARMS 22's are limiting my eye relief. The only way around it is to put a rail cap/riser that runs the length of the receiver and forend (like a MK12-Mod0), place the rear ring on the receiver and front ring on the forend (worried about forend twist), or ditch the #22's and get a LaRue or ADM.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer (1 pc mount), but wondered if anyone has experience splitting the rings between forend and receiver.

Its never a good idea to "bridge the gap". Some degree of flex between the forend rail and receiver is inevitable. The solution is either a full-length rail ala' the Mk12 Mod0 or an extended mount like an ADM, Bobro, or Larue.

Thanks for the re-assurance.... cantilever it is.

I had a PEPR that was going to be employed, but the turret box on the Falcon was too large to fit between the rings. I am much more comfortable with ADM and LaRue anyway, so it's an excuse to grab another one.
