Good day,

The seventh and final HR match of the 2011 series will be held on Saturday, August 20th. New shooters should make plans to attend the practice day on Friday, July 19th. The match is held rain or shine unless the civil authorities close the roads.

Pre-registration is available to those who shot at least three of the last six matches for the .308 and ATG classes, and is required if you are shooting in the first .223 class relays. Pre-registration opens with this announcement. Send a PM with the class(es) you will shoot, the cartridge for the rifle in each class, if anyone else will be using the same rifle, and if a brake is installed on the rifle. While we wish to encourage folks to pre-register, you will be on the Range Masters and my SL if you pre-register, don't attend the match, and fail to cancel your registration with a PX by 1800 on practice day. You don't want to go there. My PX is on the schedule, I don't have net access after 1800 on Thursdays.

The short version of the COF and rules is: 5 rounds at each 600, 800, 900 and 1k target with a 1 MOA 10 point bullseye and a 2 MOA 5 point scoring ring in 20 minutes. No sighters, no wind flags, and you have ring steel with at least one of your first five shots. Three classes, .223, .308, and AnyThing Goes.

For a full copy of the schedule and rules, please send me a PM with your First and Last name, along with your email address.

Looking forwards to seeing everyone at the match,
DocB

Forest, last chance for the year.

Good day,

Responses sent to all emails and PMs received at this time. Still need to see some more .223 shooters pre-register.

Thanks,
DocB

???
I sent PM on August 6th and have no response. Does that mean I can't come?

If you weren't there today you should have been!
Had a ball myself and so did my son. His first time to shoot to 1000.
He is hooked. Talked about buying his first custom 308 all the way home.
Thanks to all who make these matches happen.

Re: Seventh HardRock Match of 2011

Good day,

Well, the results are done and the email finished and sent. AT&T decided I'm spamming everyone with the results, so they won't process the email. I should be able to send them by Sunday evening, or I'll have a new email provider by Close of Business Monday.

If you absolutely have to have the results right now, please leave a PM or send me an email.

I'm doing what I can about the delay,
DocB

I absolutely concur shoot4fun. This was my first time past 300. I did better than I expected having never sent rounds at those distances. Nothing to speak of on score, but I am hooked too. Shooting with the wind gusting and changing directions during stages makes it tough to call wind, and doubly so when It's the first time. HUGE learning curve that I am sure never is completely mastered. I would have really liked to shoot my own stick but scope issues set in practice day.
Thanks to DocB for running a smooth running event, and to Capt.Husky for providing a great place to shoot.
Really looking forward to next season. Great bunch of people there and I enjoyed meeting each and everyone of You.
Now I have some work to do getting ready!
Thanks again

Re: Seventh HardRock Match of 2011

Good day,

Got the results sent out this morning around 0945 EDT. I've also cleaned up the mailing list by deleting everyone who had a bad address. It was nice to not have 50 error notices after sending the results, 10 is much easier to handle.

Please wait 24 hours for your email server to deliver the email before letting me know you didn't get the results.

Thanks to everyone who came to the matches this year. The Staff and Director enjoyed seeing everyone having a great time. We hope your shooting skills improved and you'll come back next year. The schedule for next year will go out in the October/November time frame, and an announcement will be posted here when it is sent. If you received this month's match results, you'll receive the schedule when it is sent.

Take care,
DocB

Congrats to the winners. Thanks to Capt. Huskey and the H/R staff for a great season of shooting. Next year can't come soon enough. Has anybody seen Gump?
