Night Vision SF 951/952 to IR?

Got a couple of 951/952’s laying around collecting dust. Since they are already in hand, would it be feasible to convert/swap out the heads for IR/white light use? Wouldn’t be for a primary rifle use since they are bigger than the current offerings but would be good for back ups, secondary rifles or loaners. I have two of the IR filter covers already for them and they are... pretty anemic.

Any thoughts or direction greatly appreciated, as always.

I just ordered an LED conversion on Amazon for mine. The extra power should net me a bit more range.

I have one of mine upgraded with one of the malkov devices LED heads that I got like six or so years ago and it was a huge improvement over the incandescent that came from surefire.
