The they improved QC, and maybe some internals, who knows without gutting one and comparing it to an older one, but I havent heard of any gen4's going down.

Just bought a Gen 3 it seems to be a nice scope so far if you can tolerate the eye relief/mount issue. I had heard that you can mount the scope with both rings in front of the turrets, so I tried it. It solved the eye relief problem but looks like shit, not that I am all about looks over function but it was just weird looking I couldn't get used to it. Still unsure what I am going to do about it, I know the super wide USO rings I bought didn't help the issue either.

I find the eye relief or lack thereof a problem since I have a LOP of 14" on my rifles. I haven't tried the two mounts on the front tube yet. However, I have a NF F1 that I should have soon and if the IOR doesn't hold up it will be for sale. I really wanted to like it because the price is good. Here's a pic of how I have it mounted right now:

Been using the extended rail since they came out. Works perfectly, some have run into issues with the bolt handle hitting your closest scope ring. I had no issues and almost 1/8" gap. I tried to find the original thread but it has dropped off.
