Photos of my .45-70 Sharps and .308 Win GAP.

Wood vs polymer.
Metal sights vs glass.
Single shot vs bolt action 5 rd magazine.
22" barrel vs 30" barrel.
Long and sleek vs short and stocky.
11 pound Sharps vs 12 pound GAP.

All very interesting to me.

I thought I was the only one with such a wide range of interests. I have a Shiloh 45-110 and a Pedersoli 45-70 that has been rebarreled by Lee Shaver with a Badger. I shot in a match a few years back in Wyoming where guys were ringing steel out to 1200 yards with black powder loads and vernier sights. Amazing and humbling. I've been amazed at how small of groups I can lay down at 200 yards with the 45-70. Puts some modern day scoped rifles to shame.

Tell me bout it I was at our local 600yd BR match and an old 1903 guy with irons was hanging with the rest of the guys. SHows how proper fundementals are really what sets a lot of shooters apart.
