Shipping from private individual to FFL

Gentlemen, I want to purchase a rifle from a Hide member and he would like to ship privately to my FFL.
My FFL has never completed a transaction of this type, he asked me to get details on how to handle this transaction.
Does he log the weapon in just like he does when he receives a rifle from a distributor? And then I complete the usual paperwork and he shows it as a sale to me?
Sorry for the lame ass questions but neither myself or my FFL have carried out this type of transaction.

Most time people just send a copy of their dl in with the rifle. The paperworks the same I believe

I just did a rifle off the hide. My dealer did the same paperwork as a rifle off the self. Right or wrong he went this route...

A&D bound book. A is acquisition, FFL takes possession of the firearm. Private individual it is acquired from name and address. If acquired from another FFL, can use either the FFL name and number or address. You do the required background paperwork as the buyer, either proceed or wait 3 business days if delay to transfer. FFL dispositions firearm to you, name and address, and include his log number transferring possession to you, the buyer.

its the same as if a customer brought in a rifle, just a copy of the DL is needed, with up to date address.

late but ... it DOES NOT need to go from ffl to ffl...
the 4473 will be used just as stated above for the buyer / receiver person.
