Hello all. I have been using the Shooter Ready simulation for a little while now. I am confused on some of the wind stages. For instance, on the .308 wind challenge - it gives you the wind speed on the wind meter and it says "There is a wind downrange at 600 yards 12 to 16 mph from the west". How do I integrate that with the wind correction based on the wind meter?

Also, the Vertical Wind stage is problematic for me. It does not state up or down. It says "there is an additional vertical wind from 8 to 11 mph". Again, how do I integrate that with the wind info from the meter?

My strategy so far is to figure out what I know. After shooting and getting the actual wind drift, I try and see if there is some perecentage less or more that corresponds with the actual drift.

Is there some strategy or rule of thumb I should be using for different downrange winds and/or vertical winds? Thanks in advance.

For what it is worth, I did try to figure this out before asking.

Tim

I have gotten a lot out of it. The ranging exercises are excellent. There are multiple calibers and various stages. It was worth the money for me.
