i find myself in a unique position. i have always used prescription glasses, clear and dark, when shooting cause i couldn't see sites/targets w/out em. had lasik done and can actually see the sites and target bare eyed. unbelieveable! am now in a position to use shooters glasses like normal people and need advice. i like the dark lens ones, but since the sites are dark AND the lenses are too, won't that make it harder to see the sites on a non sunny day? the prescription ones i wore b4 were smoke, not dark. but i see all sorts of shooting glasses for sale that look dark as all hell. so how do you see the sites on a cloudy day? will i have to buy 3-4 diff. shades of tint? THANKS

Sergeant69 I sent you the 40% dicount code per your request.

I have been using ESS for the last 4 years and have been bery happy with the products, service and the options available.

I am a LEO and former Marine as well as a competitive shooter and their product line will work for anything I have ever done.

They are 100% made in the USA as well.

If anyone has any eye wear needs and would like the code drop me a PM.

Re: shooting glasses info needed

I just get glasses with interchangeable lenses.

the Oakley flask jackets are what I am currently using, but I've used costa del mars, serfas, optic nerves, and 3 or 4 other cheaper brands. I like lenses that are brown, copper, amber, and even in the rose tint, they improve contrast while also allowing in different amounts of light depending on your conditions. alot of the trap shooters around here use randolph research glasses, because they have a wide variety of shooting specific tints, but I find them to be FUGLY and circa 1970

thats what i just ordered, but got the more expensive set of crossbows. the diff. choices, manufactures etc is amazing. had no idea. used to get PELTOR goggles to go over glasses and head to the range.

Re: shooting glasses info needed

It might be worth checking out the Serengetti lenses made by Dow/Corning. Although they are a proprietary lens, the odd red shade completely eliminates the glare that makes me squint, UV rays are also reduced or eliminated, yet they allow plenty of light through so that you don't have difficulty seeing small, or distant objects.

They work especially well in fog, the desert, or on those hazy overcast days where you feel the need to squint.
