Shooting in the Mojave

Hey all,
I live in Apple Valley and am looking for someplace close by to shoot long range: 800+. Any ideas, quiet areas far from civilization?

contact your local division of wildlife office, they will tell you places you can/cant shoot as well as steps to take so you aren't mistaken for someone hunting.
