Shooting Rest Info

New to forum and now have a question.
Someone gave me this Sinclair apparatus a few months ago. I cleaned it up and repainted and it appears to be in really good condition.
Can anyone share any info on this type test? Age? Is it it useful? Does it have any value?
Just don’t know.

It's a front rest, good for shooting off a bench. Have a nice rear bag because the gun will slide back from the recoil. I prefer a Bipod personally

I have used this a few times but like you mentioned, I like my Atlas bipod better.

I see them sitting on old guys shelves.

They think they want one, then after they use it a few times they realize it's way to heavy and awkward except for very specific sports.

Then it collects dust.

If you have a private range where you can leave it out on the bench all the time I'd envision a lot more usage since it wouldn't need to be moved.

That’s kind of what I thought. It’s really heavy and hard to move so not much use to me. May donate it to local range but can’t see using it very much.
