Shooters, I wanted to show a couple pictures of what my shop looks like and what kind of set up I have here. I hope you enjoy the pictures. This shop is very efficient and has all the potential that I need. The sand blaster, grinding, buffing and sanding is done outside the shop as well as the spray on finishing and baking.

Its a real pleasure to work on customers rifles and I take everything I do seriously. My main goal is to build the best possible rifles and perform the most accurate work I'm capable of and to make sure that the customer always comes out on top. Thank you for your business!

Mark

Clausing Colchester 13x40. Great lathes, runs smooth and is very accurate. This is what I do most of my barrel work on.

My second lathe, a Clausing Colchester Variable Speed 13x40. This lathe is a little more heavier and runs a little smoother. I do lots of barrel work, bolt knob conversions and any miscellaneous stuff on this lathe. Both lathes are running D1-4 chucks with the same tool post systems, so with tool set up each tool can be used on either lathe.

Every rifle that is built in this shop gets s S.A.C. Blueprint sheet where all the measurements are documented and saved for myself and the customer.

It's like an episode of "Cribs" for gunsmiths. I like it.

Beautiful shop setup Mark! Everyone knows the work that comes out of there is top notch.

As soon as Surgeon gets some XL actions out, I'll be sending you some work.

Sweet! I can't wait for my rifle to go through your shop!

btw - I think a clean work area (like yours) says a lot about someone. Just my opinion...

If I knew these pics were going to go online, I would have jumped in one of them.

FYI, For those that have not been to his shop, it pretty much always looks like these pics so dont think for a second that he cleaned up just to take pics.

Good shooting this weekend by the way. Thanks for everything!

Good eye, its an old lathe that is not used by myself but by our farm. They do large stuff with it. It runs off an old leather belt that is all cracked up and probably has a top speed of 100 rpm.
