Already better than what I thought a short 7mm could get up to. I wonder what's the shortest barrel you could get the 180 pills up to 2800fps in?

I am not sure of the answer on how short you can go, but based on the info above with 162s at 2955 at 22 1/2 barrel, my guess would be you could not go much shorter than 22 inches and get to 2800 with the 180s. I am guessing 21-22 inches would be your shortest for those speeds.
I have a 26 inch 7SAUM throwing 180s at 3018 with slight pressure signs 2990 is right outside any pressure and you will probably lose between 150-180fps by cutting 4-5 inches off a magnum.
