Is it possible to shorten a barrel from the chamber end? Cut, thread, and re-chamber.(on a fluted barrel). Just wondering.

Re: Shortening a barrel

That would depend on several things. What is the original chamber, what is the new chamber, how long will the barrel be when shortened (SBR?) and what is the conture of the barrel.
You need to balance these to make it work.
You have to be able to clean up or totally remove any of the old chamber that is larger than the new chamber.
You need enough material to safely house the new chamber.
You will need a shoulder or barrel nut to fix the position of the barrel so you need enough material to provide one of those options.
