Shortest Barrel to fit into an AXMC?

I would make sure they have the flats on the AX with the 13" forend tube.
The MC has a 16" tube so it may be covering the whole barrel

So I was looking at the AXMC-308 so it would be the 13in rail, and I thought the flats was for the old versions without the switch barrel Hex key system so I shouldnt need a wrench to get it off I though it was just hand tight until it hit shoulder?

Here's my 16" factory barrel with 13" forend. The wrench flats are under the forend and if I shoot the gun much I have to pull the forend tube to get enough grip to pull it off or I have to use the suppressor to unthread the barrel(which I dont like doing)

Wow fantastic thank you WyFox, How difficult is it to remove the Forend?

Just remove the 2 screws on the forehand plastic cover, then 8 screws and the handguard slips right off

The post-14 factory AX rifles (at least the short action) only has 2 screws holding down the handguard. I believe the old version, or the AX AICS chassis, used a different bolt pattern.
