Shot my Rem700 AAC-SD @500yds for 1st time

Factory Rem 700 AAC-SD barreled action with aac breakout.
AICS 2.0 chassis with viperskins.
Harris swivel bipod.
Bushnell HDMR G2
Badger rail and rings.
KRG bolt knob.

I shot a 5 shot group @ 500yds for the first time. No rear bag or monopod.

What kind of accuracy are you guys getting with the rifle? or a similar set up?

This is what I shot. Dont know if its good or bad for the rifle set up I have. The "orange" sprayed on circle is 3".

I got one in a 1.5 AICS, it'll shoot .75moa with fgmm 175smk and .5 with hotter loads. I haven't taken mine out that far yet, but even for me 5moa shooter like me, ringing steel was cake at 300yds. The rifle definitely makes me look like a better shooter than I really am. lol

I have not shot it with 175s, I have been using 168s all along. I will give them a try. Actually I also wanted to find some info about loads that people are running thru the AAC-SD with good results. If anyone can pitch in some info on that it would be appreciated.

My AAC doesnt do well with 175's or 178's, but it eats 168 Amax and SMKs like crazy. I took mine to 600 a few weeks back, first time i ever shot past 300, and it helds its own with around a 6" group from me. speaking of that, I need to head back to that range and practice some more.

I've shot some 168 smk behind 41gr of imr4064 that someone else loaded, and that shot really well for me @ 100yds. I had a friend load me for 175smk's behind 44gr of varget and that has gotten my best groups.

I remember a thread with various loads for the AAC-SD. Cant find it now, I will make some time to look for it.
