Anyone have any idea how a simple enthusiast and F Class shooter could get into SHOT? I have wanted to go for years now, however there seems to be some hurdles unless you are directly linked to the commercial industry. Any ideas people?

If you have a friend in industry (dealer) i'm pretty sure they can get you a badge to get in. If you do score a pass, pack some comfortable shoes.

Its getting tougher. If you know someone displaying there, they can get you in as booth personnel. If you want to go as an employee of a dealer, you need to show two paystubs to prove your employment

Ok, well believe it or not I have written some screenplays and some short stories as well as some white papers regarding computer generated imagery. So I could hit him up I suppose.

It's a dealer only show, not for enthusiasts. It's for manufactures to sell product to dealers. They don't want shooters asking questions and taking representatives' time away from buyers and making buyers wait in longer lines to see the products.

Ah, that I totally understand. That said I should be considered a dealer, considering all the optics and guns I have purchased and then sold over the years, ok, that's semi in jest. Thanks for clarifying.

What if I use the word (Barska) as an adjective all the time, like "wow that is really BARSK"ED?" No... maybe not. Ok I'm still learning.

I personally wish SHOT Show would follow IWAs lead and separate the .mil/.tac oriented companies from the hunting oriented companies in regards to exhibition days.
