Has anyone used this app? It looks neat, but I can't find anything on if it has a settable par time.

I have the Surefire App, but it doesn't allow a long enough par time. I also have the Taurus Timer and it doesn't beep when you hit the par.

I would really like the option for a couple minutes of par time.

When I am training with others I use a standard timer, but I would like to minimize the crap I have to drag around for a personal range trip.

Please let me know how the par time setting works.

Thanks

Hey will the sensitivity go high enough that it can "hear" dry firing of a 1911? My old CED would, which turned dry fire: sight alignment & trigger pull drills into more dynamic drills.

Well, the more I think about it, double check that. Buy the microphone before you pay for the App. I know mine will do it, it's the latest generation of touch, not sure about the early models.

Buy the cheap microphone, see if you can find a free voice notes application. If the voice notes works then you can use the timer.

Re: Shot Timer Pro for iPhone?

Alright, so I dished out the money and am not impressed. It will not pick up a 1911 dry fire unless it is very close to the weapon and the mic is pointing at the hammer. There is also no par time option, and the buzzer options are all very quiet.

Save your money, use the free ones or put the $19 towards a real shot timer. I've asked for my $$$ back.
