Should a Hornady 6Creedmoor seating die work for 6BR???

My gunsmith got my new 6BR barrel chambered in less than a week. I was planning on ordering dies for the 6BR but I didn't have them yet by the time I got the 6BR rifle. Being an impatient guy, I wanted to get that rifle out to the range. I had the idea that I could try my Hornady 6Creedmoor die to seat some bullets. I loaded a few rounds and the rifle shot really well with them so now I'm wondering if I even need a 6BR specific seating die. Does that make sense?

Also, this got me wondering if I could use my 6.5 Creedmoor bushing die for 6 Creedmoor if I changed to an appropriate size bushing? Sorry, if these are dumb questions.

Thanks.

If nothing else, do if for the peace of mind you'll get knowing you're using a 6BR die on 6BR. That alone seems worth it to me. There's also a difference in something working and something working well.

I don't think it will make any difference. I bet if you get a 6BR die you will find it to be the same with different numbers etched on it.

For hornady custom grade (not actually custom) I think youre right, generally all cartidges of the same caliber uses the same seater. I know my 300 blackout its at its very wits end to seat, 2 threads of engagement only, its much more designed to seat the larger 308 cases etc. However I do notice that the creed has a different series and seater number than 243 does so maybe theres something special about it or maybe its just their own introduction so they tried to make it seem special with its own thing.
