I now have the Lyman 6000 sonic cleaner and the Thumler's with SS media.......can anybody think of a reason why I shouldn't sell my vibratory tumbler? anything that I could only do with corn/walnut that I am not thinking of? Thanks!

Works well for coating bullets with HxBN or Moly. It is also good for cleaning any lube off loaded rounds if you use a progressive. And...the electronics inside those ultrasonics can crap out...the tumbler is a good back-up

Still use my vibratory tumbler. I use it to clean lube off. Also, if I'm in a hurry to "dry" my brass cleaned w/ SS media, I chuck it in and let the media dry it off.

A used tumbler can't go for very much. $25? I'd just keep it.

BTW - how's that Lyman 6000 sonic cleaner? Been looking at that over the Hornady unit...

You're right, I won't get much for it so I should just keep it as a backup.

The 6000 is great. I really like the drain tube on it because I can drain my solution into a jug and store it for reuse while all the crud settles out of it. I think its bigger than the hornady and if you use the $20 off of $200 coupon at midwayusa the price is pretty close to the hornady.
