I actually went the opposite direction... I started with a Vortex 1-6 which was an awesome optic, ran a carbine course with it, swapped it for a T1, ran another carbine course and swapped that to a Comp M4S.... couldn't be happier with the M4S. It is obviously great for CQB, but with the 2MOA dot, I can make headshots on steel and paper out to 200 pretty easily, and have no prob making a connection on steel man sized targets out to 400. For anything further or requiring more precision, I have a couple nice bolt guns for that. I say stick with your H1.
