I have a Kimber tactical Pro II with 3 mags, blackhawk and cross breed holsters. I like the FNH 45 black one. and have a trade offer. Should i go with it? Or keep the kimber and cerakote it and keep it for myself.

WHat are your thoughts. on FNH and i will gladly take some criticism cause i think my head may be in my A@@

Tough choice to give advice on, as it really comes down to personal preference over the different platforms. Personally, I would keep the 1911. The 1911 is by far my favorite platform and, while I have liked other guns, I couldn't be without a 1911 as my go-to gun. The FNH has its appeal, but if I could only have one, it would be the 1911. Others will come in and insert their particular favorites in place of "1911" in what I said. That is the beauty of shooting - there are enough excellent firearms out there that virtually everyone can find the platform that suits them best.

Good luck with the decision and enjoy whichever gun you choose.

a friend of mine gave me some advice...i can't say that i have been the best at following it but i wish i was...anyway, he says, do not trade current (insert gun, guitar, toy, etc) for another- be patient and save for the new one and then have two.

Keep the kimber and get it cerakoted..... Then buy a glock and the kimber will remain a safe queen!

Seriously though, never trade or sell a nice gun that shoots good! A rule of life.......

You have received good advice here. As owner of a 1911 and a FNX, both have their place. Would I trade one for the other, NO. My 1911 is a Sig compact. It handles well, shoots great, and is a 1911. What more can you ask? The FNX is in a class by itself. I don't care for a Glock .45. They just don't fit me well but the FNX is great. High capacity, ambi controls, and it is one of the softest shooting .45 I own. It is really hard to compare the two. Both are great guns and like stated, I would save my money and own 2 guns.

This is the right answer. Don't trade guns, you'll end up spending thousands of dollars in a decade and still only own one or two guns. Save money and buy more guns.
