I use a balance beam system with a dandy trickler. Crude, I know. But, last time I cronographed (magnetospeed), I got a 4.9 SD. Can I expect better with a more precise system? (shooting national rifle league events}.

More accurate weighing? Probably.
Faster? Maybe.
Better SD? Probably not.

Would it be worth the 1k to upgrade to an auto throw auto trickler? You tell us - what do you want out of the system?

I use a Hornandy LNL electronic powder measure.

I’d say it’s far less accurate than my old 505 and trickler but I can seat a bullet while it’s doing it’s thing.

My current 260 load is hovering at around an SD of 2.

I’m contemplating switching to a new setup only because it’s faster.

Chargemaster Lite for me. Never under throws. Occasional overthrow. About every 10 rounds or so, I check the scale with a checkweight I made from a brass washer that weighs the same as the load I'm using.
