Recently bought a new Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24 x50 to mount on a 224 valkarie Ar build
While mounting the scope I noticed a very tiny black mark on the lense at the 11 o’clock position at the outer edge of the lens when looking through the scope!
Was not on the outside of the lense
Called Vortex yesterday around 1 o’clock a new scope and free t shirt and a return label for the other scope!

Their CS is top-notch. I recently sent in a damaged old discontinued Viper HS scope, and they let me pay a small upgrade fee, and upgrade to the new Strike Eagle 5-25x56 EBR-7C MRAD. Amazing scope! Best upgrade i've had in a while.

Sometimes, those little victories mean the most to you during a time when life keeps shitting on you. It teaches you to stay positive, and good things will happen. 👍🏼

For me, it's Vortex. The best rifle scope company ever made. I even ask the customer service for extra return shipping label for my next minute of barn build and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for a shipping label because my elevation turret unscrewed itself and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly Vortex CS worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the Vortex staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three return labels. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local Vortex repair center, I go there at least 3 times per year for their ring torquing seminar, 1-2 times per seasons to straighten the reticle or remove debris inside the glass, and maybe once a year when I'm in a rush to buy new chinesium glass but want a great tactical scope that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily shooting needs.

I even use the free sunshade, it's fantastic! What a great optical company.

Vortex will generally take care of you..... but (other than the razor lines) a very high chance that you will have to use the warranty center.

The thing that I can't wrap my head around-- It actually helps their reputation more to send out a problem scope and then be amazing to deal with than it does to be a company that builds a scope that doesn't break. If Vortex had just done it right the first time then they wouldn't have a thread talking about how great they are.

I’ll agree with that, even though I own two Razors and haven’t had a problem with either of them.

But I’d prefer knowing that not many people have had to use their CS vs knowing it’s great.

That is kind of odd I agree. I think it's because CS in general has just gotten really bad, so when people have an issue, they expect it to be a bad experience trying to resolve it. When they get the opposite of what they expected, they are so happy they didnt get the shaft, that really just overrides everything else..... Your point is valid, though out of several Vortex scopes I've had and many that I still have, I've yet to have an issue with a single one. I can't say the same for another Very well known brand, who's claim to fame is that "you won't need their warranty ". (They too took good care of me and I have no complaints and would buy another. Issues happen for any manufactured product, I'm just trying to give some perspective).

Vortex sells a lot more scopes than other brands and therefore, I'm sure they have more warranty, it does seem like their warranty is needed more frequently as a percentage as well, but it's hard to really know with only anecdotal evidence.

I bet there's 10 threads that have all of these same posts in em....

For fucks sake!
These optics bounce around in the backseat of a f150 once a month to go the range and shoot 50 rounds. If it’s a duty weapon use a tier 1 optic.
I got 10 rifles and I’m not even putting a 1k optic on more than two of them. Most are going to get a China optic and I’ll probably break the mutherfucker a couple times. Thanks vortex, Athlon and others for covering my ass.
