I am on the fence on sending my 1911 slide in to sig for there adjustable rear night sight. Anyone have any knowledge or opinions on these? What brand/who makes it? Durability? Reliability?

It will not be carried much and will mostly be a target pistol.

Thanks

HP,

When you say adjustable, you mean windage & elevation target-type as in Bomar? If you need NS, I suggest a combat rear sight. If you are set on adj NS, Wilson uses those on their top of line super customs.

Regarding NS in general, the front is MUCH more important than the rear. Check out 10-8 Performance scroll down to "Articles" and read Hilton Yam's comments. Classes I have attended advocate NS front only.

Yes adjustable for windage and elevation, Sig list the Adjustable combat rear night sight on their custom shop upgrades.

I figured someone on here would have one by now, and could fill in some blanks left by sig, becouse the Sig websight just lists:

1911 ADJUSTABLE REAR NIGHT SIGHT
Upgrade or replace your current 1911 rear sight with factory installed adjustable combat rear night sight.

Thanks
