Sidearms & Scatterguns Sig 229e2 x400 holster help please

Re: Sig 229e2 x400 holster help please

Check out Kaluban Cloak, Cheryl is great to deal with. I have a pair of KC holsters, one made for my Glock 17 with x400 and DG-18 pressure switch, one for my Glock 19. Both fit the gun perfectly, and both came from the factory far ahead of the website times, and neither required anything to be shipped to them for fitment.

Re: Sig 229e2 x400 holster help please

Well... I hate to overpromise and under deliver on someone else's product, but the website shows up to 5 weeks or something, and they literally shipped the day I placed the order. I had both within like 2 days of deciding to order.

And to think the only thing holding me back for so long was having a hard time placing an order for something I have to wait for.

Both sheaths are amazing, by the way. So are the ammo holsters I have.

Any future sheath needs will also be handled by Kaluban Cloak.

If you can't find this already made, and if you enjoy the process of making your own gear, parts and supplies to make a kydex holster run about the same cost as a new holster, then each one after that is peanuts.

knifekits.com and usaknifemaker.com both have a range of good supplies. Blade-tech.com and comp-tac.com also have specialized parts that would be more difficult to fabricate.

Use the thicker kydex, at least .08 or .09

Similar product, never had a Raven but from everything I've read the KC is just as good if not better, and the prices are lower.

Re: Sig 229e2 x400 holster help please

Well, thanks again guys. I went with Kaluban, and cannot be more happier. They were so helpful, they answered all my questions, even went as far as sending me the differences in the dimensions of the slide between the different generation sig 229s.

The 229 E2 sept 2010 hold perfect. People had commented the draw was very tight, this felt perfect.

The best part was it works with and without the surefire X400.

The quality is top notch, everything contoured, smooth, and feels beefy. The impressions are very detailed as well, unlike many of my other kydex holsters.

Lastly, the turn around from order was about 2 weeks with ammo carry holsters. I find that level of service amazing. I am planning on ordering another set, as well as my friends who have the same gun.
