Man I love mine, it is a much better shooter then I am. Really hate the trigger. Going to order a new one after I get Christmas out of the way. Would buy again if had to do over.

Re: Sig 716

I already have a gap ar-10 308, and an Les Baer Monolith 308, and was wondering for the money a person would have invested and the accuracy you would get is the 716 fairly close in accuracy. Would the 716 shoot 3/4" or less. The GAP and the Les will shoot 1/2" or less.

Re: Sig 716

Mine will shoot 1" or less with 168 Hornadys, and that's with the shitty trigger it came with. All I have shot have been Hornadys, ordered 200 168 FGMM that should be in here any day now but sure they will shoot just as good if not better.

I didn't buy this gun to be a precision rig, have many others to fill that role. In my opinion it's a great rifle and well worth the money. I really don't think you would be sorry.

Not that it would lack accuracy.
It just may be less "naturally" accurate I guess I could say haha

I have heard some piston guns shoot amazing groups. Usually a pistol system means that the barrel is not free floated completely in one way or another. I would think a free floated bull barrel DI gun would be a little more naturally accurate. Im sure they can still shoot great. BTW I have a 556 which is a pistol gun and it shoots MOA or so.

Re: Sig 716

I was out shooting my 716 earlier in the week, shoots better than MOA out to 450 yards with my 168 gr AMAX hand loads. Best 5 shot group @ 450 measured 3 3/8".
Other than a trigger upgrade it's stock.
I didn't buy it for a precision rifle but when I realized how well it shot, just had to wring it out
