I'm bummed. I have a new SIG P220 equinox than when shooting, it will not reset the hammer back in single action for the next chambered round.
I have tried a few different factory SIG mags, several types of ammo, 230gr 280gr defense, ball, jacketed Ranger SXT and I get the same results. About every second or third round will not kick the hammer back into the locked "single action" position. The spring is the factory unit that is a yellow color on one end.
When firing (any factory ammo) the hammer will follow the slide back into the double action position and not cocked position nearly every other round count.
when unloaded, mag out and dry fired, the hammer will follow the slide back to the frame (into the double action) every time.
ONLY when the trigger is released you can hear the reset and then can manually cock the hammer back into single action.
I was told to loosen the grip screws and try same exercise, but have the same results.
Any ideas ?
