Good, good Lord.

Maybe some nekkid mud-flap chick grips, too? I understand that this heretofore unneeded affectation also comes in a P238 model as well.

unfortunatly they've been up to this trash for a few years already.

That is just AWFUL!!! WTF are the guys at Sig thinking?!?!

I have been a long-time Sig supporter having used (and carried) their pistols for nearly 2 decades. For a traditional DA/SA, I'll take a P220 or P226 any day of the week, but why are they doing this? I mean some of the Custom Shop finishes are just plain ugly and generally stupid, but these diamond plate finishes are on mainstream, regular production line pistols!

+1

I've been a huge SIG fan for awhile, but they've been doing some stupid shit the past few years. Unless I buy a 210, I think my days of buying new SIGs are over.

Re: SIG P220 variant only missing "pickup truck balls"

I don't know what most of you ever saw in a Sig anyway.

They are pretty much just boring and bland to me.

I've had two of them and I sold both of them, early in my days of trying to find a decent pistol.

I'd rather have a Glock (or any other striker fired pistol) than a Sig.

Re: SIG P220 variant only missing "pickup truck balls"

God they just wont fucking stop making dumb shit.. I mean my god. If they put half the time into make half of the guns they produce more reliable instead of chasing the next gimmick they might actually improve their reputaion.

Look at springfield they make what 15 varitions of their production 1911s and guess what they all friggin work.

Re: SIG P220 variant only missing "pickup truck balls"

hmmmm, isn't this all the evil mindshite of the guy they hired from Kimber about 4 years ago...? Not that long ago that if you wanted a P220 you could choose from either one that was black, or one that was a bit silver...now there's about 18 different flavors....

Re: SIG P220 variant only missing "pickup truck balls"

Maybe the Germans have been watching too much of the Dukes of Hazard, NASCAR, Squidbillies, etc. and think this is what the gun buying American public wants to buy (who knows, they may be right. I can not understand why people watch NASCAR which is on the same level as this diamond plate SIG). A lot of SIG models are pimped out these days -- I hate the way they look.

I've always liked the conventional-looking SIGs, in form and function. Some say the older West German SIGs are superior to the US made guns. I have no idea if there is any truth to that.

Glocks on the other hand, look like ugly power tools. I hate their triggers, I hate the way they shoot, I hate the bulky plastic and the lack of heft. I know many people swear by Glocks, but I hate them. I would never buy one. To each his own, I guess.

Re: SIG P220 variant only missing "pickup truck balls"

I like sig but that has got to be the worst idea for a sig, I have yet to see. A diamond plate slide. And grips that look like tires. I wouldnt give that a second thought. I thought the new extreme was a bad idea!
Good old sig.
