Sig Sauer SSG 3000 Any thoughts?

I was looking at the AI AW, but was wondering how the SSG 3000 compares. I located 1 on gunbroker for under $3000 and this fits my wallet better than the AI does. Would I not be better off putting the money saved into a Hensoldt?

Thanks in advance on any advice!

I used to have one and love it. I sold it to one of the member "328 RII) to fund another project. I know 328 RII love the Sig so much and can't stop talking about it,just to rubbed me off...lol.

The SSG 3000, are from my experience accurate rifles with good handling capabilities.
However i find the price for them too high, being from Scandinavia, we have the Sauer 200 STR available it has the same action and trigger as a SSG 3000, the only difference is the McMillan stock and a added muzzle break but i can't see those 2 feautres justifying a price that is over 2 times of what a 200 STR costs.

You are missing the most important differance.
We have them in 6,5x55 and we usally get the STR for around 1200 US.....
Both differances are in my opinion only extremely positive...

We demo'ed one when we were shopping for new department rifles.

I was not impressed. IMHO there is no comparison between a SSG 3000 and a AIAW.

If cost is a concern, look at the AI AE MkII. I just picked one up after a TON of research and watching their performance at matches all over the country. Owners of both have told me the AE doesn't give anything up to the AW in the accuracy department.

I have one that I am looking to put up for sale (which is how I found this post) let me know if you are interested.
