So I've been looking into getting a nice bolt action but haven't been in the game all that long. I really like the new sig sauer tactical 2 that they are making in .338. Has anyone had a chance to shoot this rifle yet?

I found what I think is a good deal on one for $3999.99 brand new from ammobros.com

Any input is appreciated. I've never owned a .338 but I am looking forward to moving up from a .308.

The Blasers are accurate rifles. There have been issues wirh mags. Top round would pop out if the mag was seated with any force. There are a number of tactical teams world wide that use the tactical 2. The durability of it under field conditions concerns many. I would rather spend a few pennies more and get a DTA

I believe the magazine problem was limited to the 308, the belted rounds including the 300 win didn't suffer they same problem. So far as the round "popping out" on the 308's, I believe they solved that problem, but it was real, however; it generally on occurred when you "slapped" the mag in place, nonetheless, it shouldn't have happened. The straight pull "a well known principle" in Switzerland, allows for the lowest possible scope mounting, and fastest cycling speed, with all that said-Sigs "shoot good".
