Long time lurker first time poster. Looking at two rifle in 308. The Savage 10 FCP with the detachable Mag and digital camo (Savage part # 19480 AND the Sig Sauer SSG3000 308 rifle. Looking for real users that have tried both ... I like the feel of the Sig and a few folks that I know have them have been shooting some impressive groups with them. Thanks for any info..

I own both except my Savage is black. The Sigs are thee best buy on earth. I just bought 3 more for $1238, $1279, & $1299.All the test targets are less than 1/2 moa, 5 shot 100 meters using Norma 168gr ammo. I have one that is 1/4", one hole with two ears about a third hole each. I named this rifle mickey as it looks exactly like mickey mouses head. Now they are not shipping test targets which began about Sept/Oct. A lot of BS going around by internet experts who probably never saw or shot one. The barrels change in about 2 minutes. Go to youtube & look under Sig 3000 or Sauer Str 200, same barrel system & the same barrels. In Europe Sig offers 5 caliber barrels & another maker 7 but so far only 308 in the US. If you want to know more PM your number & when to call. Thanks!
PS Welcome to the Hide!

Thank you Sir. I actually have a Sig here now and am waiting for the Savage to arrive as part of a dealer program. Didnt want to shoot the Sig until I did my homework on these guns. I really do like the looks and feel of the Sig and like I said feedback has been great. Looks like I might have to keep this Sig!!

Did you get a test target? You really need the Savage because the Sig is 15#+ scoped & loaded. I have a Remington Tactical 308 coming also. If my "Mickey Sig" shoots 1/4 now what about when the rifle & ammo are fine tuned?
