this article surprised me as I wasn't aware of any military forces selecting a Sig scope (I've got nothing against Sig Optics, I like my 3-18 G2) , I just expected the Army to buy Leupold, S&B, or Nightforce...

They have been using 4x ACOGS, among other things.
It is a DMR, not a sniper rifle.

All that I’ve used have been awesome, including the larger mag 6-24 and 5-30. Haven’t heard any bad them from anyone really.

I've got a Gen2 Tango6 3-18 that I like. To my eyes it's very comparable to a gen2 Razor, but without the competition pedigree (and 10 to 12 ounces lighter than the Razor2). I haven't done really thorough tracking tests, but I will once I have a free weekend and that winter is finally gone from MN. I shoot all year around, but lying in the snow for extended periods of time isn't something I relish...
