when sighting in a new night force scope can you do this on 32 power at 100 yrds?or will it not be right. scope is a night force 8x32 bench rest

Shouldn't be a problem. POI shouldn't shift much between magnification. If it does, you got a bad scope.

Better to shoot at 25 yards on a larger piece of paper to get on target than start out at 100. Have your impact about 1.5" below your aiming point at 25 yards and you will be close to on target at 100.
Power you are on won't matter but I would suggest dialing down to 8x when shooting at 25 yards to be able to see target better.

Take a few extra minutes to carefully bore sight at 25 yards before putting that first round through it. I just bore sighted my 5-25 Premier last week. It was dead on at 25. I then took it to 100 and the first round was about 3 inches high. And I did it all at 25x.

If it is a bolt gun. Just take the bolt out and look down the barrel to the target. Adjust the turrents until on. Should be able to be zeroed in a couple of rounds. No need for any thing else. ARs do the same. Once the bore and the scope is align to the target. Put the gun together and sight in.

I would also start at 25 yards. I sighted my NF 8-32X56 NXS on 12X @ 25 yards only 2" low, Then moved out to 100 yards and continued at 20X. I didn't use anything higher because of mirage problems. The 30 caliber holes are clearly visable at 20X. If I was shooting 223 I would probably gone up to 22-25X depending on the mirage.
