Rifle Scopes Sightron svss ed 4.5-24x56 anyone play with this scope?

Yes. It's a very well executed scope. Great glass and the controls function well.
I got mine in return for a couple of S-TAC scopes that were replaced under warranty. It's kind of an orphan in my collection right now.

The reticle is a Christmas tree type that I find a little basic. It wasn't my first choice as I prefer a more open reticle. But there weren't any other choices. Only drawback is no zero stop. But the turrets lock fine so I don't see it as much of an issue.

That's the exact one I've been eyeballing as their zero stop model doesn't look worth the price increase and appears to be an after thought.

Have you mounted it on a rifle? How's the eyebox? Forgiving or very narrow window?

Thanks!

Agree. The zero stop wasn't worth the price increase. I haven't mounted this scope. It's only been out of the box to fondle it. I set it on a bag and looked through it to evaluate it. I've had it for a couple months. As I recall the eyebox was good. I would say it's a little more forgiving than the eyebox on my Steiner T5xi 5-25x56. If you're looking to buy one I would make you a deal on this one. I have an old CZ550 in .308 that it was going to go on but, I can only find 30mm rings for it and this Sightron is 34mm.

I have #12 of the very first batch of the 4.5-24 scopes that came into the country. I pre-ordered through sightron.
If you are going to do a lot of dialing, shooting matches, then the ZS is a worthwhile upgrade.
I love mine. It sits on my 7 08 semi- custom rifle.
It competes very well with the Vortex gen 2 razor.
I don't get out with it as much as I'd like.
I'll hopefully end up with another.
They are excellent scopes.
