Rifle Scopes sightron10-50

Im looking at buying a long range scope shooting ranges from 500- 1000 yards and staying around $1000 or so. The sightron 10-50 seems like a great optic but why I wonder did they make this a sfp scope? Is there something Im missing. Ive always felt that I should be considering a ffp scope for long range shooting. help from the pros please.

F class and benchrest moa is spoken and 2nd focal is king.
Don't want those tiny dots and crosshairs getting big at max power.

If you are shooting a known distance SFP works sufficiently.
If you want a FFP scope with 25x at the top mag, you have alot to look
At in your price range and less. As always check the PX (used rifle scopes)

the prices right now are great. I decided on a 10-50 sightron milrad for 850. its a sfp reticle but I think I can deal with this for a while
