I have a Sig P220-SS-45 (I believe). Anyway have carried it for a while off and on well over 10 yrs. The old eyes are starting to get dim and looking for some suggestions/recommendations for sights, maybe fiber optic, maybe tritium. The factory sights just ain't cutting it, and I have had several tell me that it is hard to find aftermarket sights that will fit the sig, so what say you all, any suggestions?

If things are truly getting dim compared to years ago, it may be cataract surgery that will make the biggest improvement. Have you had an eye exam by a qualified professional recently?

If you're carrying for CCW/Duty type purpose, I would suggest the Trijicon night sights. I would also say go with the triple green(as in all dots green) option. There are choices of yellow and orange. The other thought would be go with orange rear sight/green front, so your eye is directed toward the bright spot(front sight) as that is where your sharpest focus should be. My only caution to you is Trijicon only provides a five-year warranty on the orange, but a twelve-year on the green. FWIW

If it's just for fun-n-grins, then maybe go with some fiber-optic type sights. I have fiber optic on my competition pistol, but shooting indoors, they don't stand out too well for me! Shooting outdoors, even on a cloudy day, there is enough light for the green fiber optic to really stand out for me.

Good luck with your quest!
