Suppressors SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

Anyone heard anything on their upcoming rifle can?

Build details? QD and/or thread on? User servicable or sealed? Construction materials? Magnum rated? Expected release date?

I am about to lay down some coin on a rifle suppressor but I wonder if this one might be worth waiting for? If it compares to the .30 caliber suppressor class like the .22 Sparrow SS does to that class then it will be a nice entry into the market...

Any 'juice' out there yet?

Thanks

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

The releases regarding the merger state that SWR rifle cans will have nothing to do with the upcoming SilencerCo rifle can...read that on Major's site somewhere.

I am very excited about SilencerCo as they have proven to be innovative so far. I am waiting on my Sparrow to arrive at my dealer so I can begin the paperwork with ATF.

But the info and knowledge that SWR brings to the table on centerfire rifle cans HAS to be a good thing to the design and thought of the Silencer Co offering.

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

I absolutely agree there, their experience and knowledge can only aid in the design I would think. I just wanted to make it clear that SilencerCo's new rifle can will not be a remarked SWR can...says the press releases and posts on other forums.

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

i spoke with josh on the phone a month ago asking about this very thing all he would say is it should be available late this year and it will well worth the wait.

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

I have 2 of the pistol cans and LOVE THEM!! I have been waiting on the rifle can for 4 months and will keep waiting. They have some of the nicest cans in the market. I was told shot show by someone who would know. From what I understand it is going to be well thought out as far as multi cal. wise. I have even heard they are looking at trying to rate it up to a 300 ultra mag. Josh and Mike sure know how to think out of the box if you ask me.

I have thought long and hard about a new AAC SD and have decided I will be waiting.

By the way I have the 45 osprey and 22 sparrow SS.

Good to hear because I also have a 45 osprey and sparrow SS, but they are paperwork purgatory so I haven't touched them yet. All the research I did pointed me to these two cans, and I can't wait to see what they come up with for rifles. I will hold off on a .30 cal can until they roll out.

The SWR acquisition has nothing to do with the S Co rifle cans.

That is also good news. I am waiting on a FDE Osprey that is one of the things backed up.

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

Any updates on their centerfire rifle can yet?

My Sparrow is FINALLY supposed to arrive at my dealer this week...been a long time coming and I would love to see what Silencerco is offering before I make a purchase on a .308 can...

Can we at least get an approximate date on some info release...?

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

I really like Josh and Mike at SilencerCo. They are both very good guys.

Mike is a product and mechanical genius and Josh is at the same level when it comes to design and marketing. I am sure their next products will be from truly out of the box thinking.

You couldn't meet two nicer guys.

You can always use the Osprey on .300 BLACKOUT. Subsonic only.

Just throwing that out there.

Yeah, saw that. Ive got a .45 Osprey, might order a piston to get me by in the mean time.

Ive already got a .30 cal can, Elite Iron. I just want to keep that on my bolt gun and Im leaning towards more of a quick detach.

Im really liking every product SCO has released so Im guessing your rifle can is going to be just as great.

Patience patience.

I am with you on this. The experience that Henry brings to the table is invaluable. The SWR acquisition will no doubt be of some help for SCo's new rile can! This is not to be confused for a rebranding of SWRs existing cans with an SCo stamp.

Haven't heard any details. I figured something would have been leaked by now. Shot show will be here soon enough I guess.

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

SilencerCo is good about keeping things hush hush. I have a vendor pass to SHOT so you will bet your ass that I will be in their booth first thing checking this thing out. As long as they allow it, I will have photos updated to Facebook ASAP. As soon as I get time, I will set down and add a bunch of stuff here too. If anyone has any requests, please shoot me an email.

I will be taking orders on this can on the first day of shot. You will have to email me on prices (they will be the lowest in the nation, guaranteed). My wait list is already about 15 deep.

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

If you watch their Merry Xmas video on their facebook page you see a quick leaked video of the the Saker. Looks like its going to be a quick thread on to a muzzle brake with a lock.

If Mike Pappas had anything to do with the design or any input, Im sure accuracy was every bit as important to them as sound suppression.

Edit: NM, just went back and re read the thread, it was an SWR Specwar.

Drats.

Re: SilencerCo Rifle Can, any news yet?

Sean, you will do no such thing. I will fight you! I also have a vendor badge as well as another special privelage. Buahahahaha. I will pose as a union worker setting up booths if I have to. I am rocking a huge beard right now and I will fit right in!
