i was talking to our ammo supplier and this person said that all Match Grade .22 rimfire ammo now has glass in it as filler and to clean more regularly because of this.

the reason they do it is to fill the powder up to the rear of the projectile but still GLASS REALLY

must have been a deal done somewhere between barrel manufacturers and ammo manufacturers somewhere i guess anyone else heard or read of this?

There is a pair of interesting vids on youtube where the production process is shown at the CCI plant... but darn if I can find it now...
