This guy has reflexes that would have made the patron saint of quickdraw gunfighters Arvo Ojala himself proud:

    Anus-pucker factor: FULL 100%

NOBLE, OKLAHOMA: Sergeant Joshua Lesher pulls over a motorist who triggers alarm bells by giving a false name. Turns out he was wanted in connection with an armed robbery. Perp pretends to turn away but suddenly draws pistol from jacket in an obvious attempt to ambush the officer. Sgt. Lesher KNOCKS the perp's weapon out of the way, draws his own handgun and fires, striking the perp 3 times. Then he turns around just in time to kindly warn the suspect's buddy that if he comes any closer, he is going to get the same treatment.

To recap: The perp had ALREADY pulled out his gun and was in the process of shooting.......Sgt. Joshua Lesher had less than 1/3 of a second to clear leather, acquire target and shoot. And yet he managed before the SOB even got a chance to let off a single round.

Earlier today I had made a post about the importance of constant situational awareness. THIS is exactly what I was getting at. Pay attention to just how close Sgt. Lesher had come to death or serious injury. GOOD SHOOT. Too bad the perp survived. How the fuck he managed to live after getting ventilated 3 times at almost contact range mystifies me. But this is Oklahoma, so that means he ain't gonna be getting out for quite a while.

Yep, if you follow the footage frame by frame, it was obvious Sgt. Lesher was fully aware that some shit was about to go down. Probably got it from the suspect's facial and body movements (when he started reaching under his coat). Even as he was trying to make a positive ID of this guy as being the wanted fugitive, he was paying attention to all the vibes that was being given off. Razor sharp right there.

    From the article:

Cleveland County District Attorney Greg Mashburn cleared Lesher of any criminal wrongdoing in shooting Lewis.

WAT.........There is no "clearing" or even any mention of such needed. This is beyond mere assault. Attempted murder. Aside from anchor shots (unless the fallen perp is still trying to reach for his gun), Sgt. Lesher had every justification to respond with lethal force.

Not to take away anything from the LEO, he did an excellent job. Part of the reason he is alive is the perp was not 100% dedicated to the actions he was undertaking. I think he thought "I will pull my gun and this LEO will be my bitch"
I think this is proven by no shots fired by the perp. If the gun was loaded and he was 100% dedicated to follow his actions you would think he would have got a shot or two off even if they went into never never land.
LEO on the other hand WAS 100% dedicated to his actions.
If the gun clears leather you better be 100% dedicated towards your actions, regardless of consequences.
