Sizing Problem

I have Hornady 6.5 custom grade dies. I set them per instructions but the bottom 1/16 th will not size. I had Lee in the past without this problem. I have a Hornady case size checker and will not go completely in. I put a new unfired case in and perfect.

You may have an issue if you are not using a hornady case holder die with your sizing die. Your options are removing material off the bottom of the sizing die, or you can cut some shim the size of the case to put in the the case holder die to raise the case in the sizing die(.010" shim or feeler gauge should work), or you can send fired cases and die set to hornady to have them machine off bottom of sizing die to match your case.

See what a fired, unsized case looks like in the gage. That will help narrow down whether it's an issue with the die/sizing or a potential chamber problem.
